Cupcakes Gourmet opens in Frazer, Pennsylvania

Maki of Cupcakes Gourmet wrote in to tell us that they have just opened in Chester County, Pennsylvania! If you're in the area, stop by and let us know what you think. (They will soon be shipping mini cupcakes as well.) She said they opened today (Thursday, May 15th) at 9 am but this YouTube video says April 5th - either way, they should be open (but fyi, a call to the number below did not yield a live person):

Cupcakes Gourmet
288 Lancaster Ave
Frazer, PA 19335
484-318-8057

Hours:
Monday to Saturday 10am to 7pm
(Friday we are open until 10pm)
Closed Sunday

They have lots of enticing flavors like:

apple cinnamon - apple cinnamon cake with cream cheese frosting and a hint of cinnamon

banana chocolate chip - banana chocolate chip cake with chocolate cream cheese buttercream frosting

dark chocolate coconut almond - belgian dark chocolate cake with coconut almond buttercream dipped in dark chocolate ganache

dark chocolate mint - belgian dark chocolate cake with mint buttercream dipped in dark chocolate ganache

And here's another very quick video they put up on YouTube to introduce you to the bakers and their cupcakes:

Ok so I went to this bakery yesterday to pick up some mini cupcakes for a party. They had an excellent variety and are top quality. The minis are the perfect size for a quick fix of something sweet. However, they were $16.00 per dozen for the minis and $34.00 per dz for the full size. Now with that being said the full size are not that substantial for the price. It is the same size you would bake at home in a regular cupcake pan. So at $3.00 a pop I would rather bake my own. Unlike Crumbs/Sprinkles that serves a huge cupcake that is well worth the price. So overall definitely worth a visit, but I will not be a regular.

I agree with browneyedgirl...nothing spectacular about these cupcakes. I could have made these at home. I had some from the masters bakery and they were truly decorated with talent, ones that I could even begin to try and do.
Both tasted great though from Cupcake Gourmet as well as The Master's Baker. I would choose TMB, because they had more ideas on decoration though, plus I was able to get a cake with the cupcakes!
