Handblown glass cupcake stand at Fred Flare

We're late on this, so sorry that voting is done, and thanks to everyone who sent in this tip:

22-year-old Amanda Goss from Providence, Rhode Island came up with this handblown glass cupcake stand, with some inspiration from Amy Sedaris. It was a finalist in Fred Flare's recent design contest. You can now purchase it for $60.

What inspired you to make this item?
Who doesn’t love a good cupcake? And what better way to showcase your decorative pastry than to display one in its very own fancy glass encasement? As a big fan of cupcakes, the idea came easy for me. It was mastering it in the glassblowing studio that took some work. The ultimate payoff is seeing the giddiness and pride of people who are now presenting their cupcakes with class.

Sometimes a cupcake can turn out so
perfectly it’s practically a work of art!
Now you can showcase the very best
of the batch on a glass cupcake stand
handblown by Amanda Goss. And if
you’re not as lucky baking, she even
encloses a handmade “fake” cupcake
to admire until you are. About 8” high
