My friend Michael called tonight with cupcake news (I love it when that happens!). He said that on his local news (he lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area) they were covering a Dallas Cowboys cupcakes event for charity. I had to investigate.
Sprinkles is making a special one-off Blue Velvet cupcake in honor of the Cowboy's 2009 season (blue and silver are the Dallas Cowboy's colors) with the proceeds going to the Salvation Army. Here's a link to a news article about the promotion and the prizes. Apparently there will be some special cupcakes with stars inside, which can win you tickets to the game, footballs, etc.
