Oh MY Goodness! I juuuust made cupcakes almost exactly the same for a little boy's birthday party, too, who is obsessed with fans and lights! (I made gears and light bulbs, too). But I wish I had the brilliant lollipop stick and chain cord idea.) Now i have to get my blog post up to share. Wonder if these two boys met in real life if the world would implode!

the shaft isn't a lollipop stick, it is a popeye cigarette, so the whole fan is edible :)
