Thursday evening, I had the sweet pleasure of attending a cupcake and champagne tasting for Craving4Cupcakes, a new custom cupcake business based in Long Island. The tasting was held at Ovando a beautiful new floral design shop in the Upper East Side. There were three different flavors of cupcakes, Vanilla, Champagne and Raspberry and Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge. The champagne was provided by Perrier Jouet.
I met co-owners Janine and Roya who met back when they both worked at a club in Long Islancd. Currently, they deliver cupcakes to all five boroughs and Long Island, and in spring of 2011, Craving 4 Cucpakes will open a location in Great Neck.
