Notice anything different about the Smallcakes logo above? That's not a cupcake, it's an ice cream cone! According to this story in the KC Star Smallcakes Overland Park Store Cupcakes Go Wild, Smallcakes will soon be launching a new concept to co-brand with its existing chain of cupcakes. This new concept will center around cupcake flavored ice cream, plus cotton candy, candy, frozen bananas and other novelties. The first store was slated to open in the Deer Creek area of Overland Park mid-May, but no announcement has yet been made. If you're in the area, keep an eye open for it. I hope their ice cream is better than their cupcakes!
