We had a great time recently at Burgers and Cupcakes (see photos here) and wanted to find out what's happening next with this delightful NYC eatery.

Why Burgers and Cupcakes?
Who doesn't love burgers & cupcakes? What could be better!
Do you have any particular burger/cupcake combinations you recommend?
A medium rare hamburger with bacon and blue cheese and a chocolate /chocolate cupcake. That's my personal favorite, not necessarily recommended for everyone.
What differentiates your cupcakes from other cupcakes in New York City?
Ours are moist and light and not too sweet. They are perfect.
You're going to be starting a cupcake mail order business soon. Where does that stand, and where will you be able to ship to?
We will be delivering all over NYC by the end of July and we are working on packaging that will insure safe delivery of the delicate cargo and as soon as we have it . . . the world is a phone call away! (well, the 48 contiguous states)
Do you have anything else planned with Burgers and Cupcakes?
We are planning other locations in Manhattan this year and possibly a nation wide rollout by the end of 2007.
And now for some personal questions . . .
How often do you eat cupcakes?
I eat cupcakes every day when I'm going to the gym on a regular basis. Must keep things in balance you know!
What's the best thing about eating cupcakes?
It's always a little celebration for your senses.
What's your favorite type of cupcake?
I'm a serious chocoholic, so chocolate/chocolate is always #1, but our carrot cake cupcake is sooooooo gooood. I'm torn between two "lovers!"
How do cupcakes compare/contrast to other baked goods for you?
There are other baked goods?
Is there any innovation you'd like to see made to the cupcake that would improve it for you?
A surprise inside. (we are working on it)
Do you bake your own cupcakes? Or (even better) have someone who bakes them for you?
My cupcakes are baked fresh every day. I leave the shop at night and when I come back in the morning, there are beautiful fresh cupcakes waiting to be eaten. It's the cupcake elves.
What's your first cupcake-related memory?
A bake sale when I was in kindergarten. Carol Packer's Mom brought a huge box of home baked cupcakes. They looked awesome!
What's the most fun you've ever had with a cupcake?
I don't think I can say in this forum.
