yes, i've been.
the owner is very nice!
i was asking her if she had heard about the site and said she had. she said she wanted to send her information to you, but that she was really busy getting the store off the ground.
i think her shop is totally cute. it kinda reminds me of sprinkles, but with a different color scheme. it's just a bummer that it's not facing the major street that it's off of.
as for the cupcakes. i tried the spice cinnamon, vanilla, mint chocolate, orange and lemon.
cinnamon: the cake was a little dry, but the frosting was wonderful!!
vanilla: moist cake, tasty frosting.
mint chocolate: very, very good. mint was not overpowering and moist cake.
lemon: tasty, not tart
orange: not my favorite, but i'm not a big fan of orange either.
overall, pretty good.
i hope she does well.
i have pics in my photostream, but i'm too lazy to pull them up.

Yeah, I've been there, too. The cupcakes are some of the best I've had in Southern CA. The vanilla and mint frostings resemble ice cream! I talked to Nancy for a while the other day and as mentioned, she's very nice. She was talking about how it's a childhood treat and they're trying to keep it simple; she's going to NY in fall and looking forward to exploring more bakeries. I agree that the cinnamon was a bit dry, but on the other hand, it was a lot like coffee cake, which means: breakfast cupcake!
vanilla is just what you'd want one to be.
chocolate frosting is rich and fudgy, chocolate cake not too sweet.
lemon is friggin' perfect!
carrot cake is great.
red velvet is actual red velvet and not just dyed cake - my pic here

I just moved to within 10 minutes of them, which in a lot of ways is probably very, very bad.
