There's a new cafe/bakery/hot chocolate place called Cocoa Bean Cupcake Cafe in Rexburg, Idaho. It's been called "a Mormon Starbucks," apparently. Not sure about that part but blogger The Birds has some photos.
The local NBC affiliate covers their opening, including the charity angle:
The vanilla for the cupcakes is brought in from Madagascar. There are over 200 made every day in over 25 different flavors.
The specially-made hot chocolate is also something that Rexburg residents enjoy having in town.
Goytia: "It gives the students somewhere to go, somewhere to hang out, somewhere to do homework."
Gary and Gloria also had a chance to provide cupcakes for Glenn Beck's recent charity event. Being a part of that motivated them to reach out once again. There's a local family that needs help in paying medical bills.
Rasmussen: "We want to do what we can to help the family. Hopefully we can raise a lot of money for them and help them out."
