W00t! Last night's Cupcake Social 2.0 was a roaring success with an abundance of cupcakes and techies. First, there were about 16 dozen cupcakes total. I brought 10 dozen cupcakes from Sugar Sweet Sunshine, which included a mix of red velvet, pistachio, carrot, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes. Then Tina, one of our Cupcake Meetup members was already there. She brought a dozen of her delicious strawberry cupcakes. Diana, brought her homemade rosewater cupcakes, and Grace Parisi who works at Food and Wine's test kitchen brought her own chocolate ganache cupcakes.
The Social was packed with members of the New York Tech Community and beyond. Attendees included Cupcake Social 2.0 sponsor and Bricabox Founder Nate Westheimer, David Karp of Tumblr,Charlie O'Donnell of Path 101, Gary Sharma of Silicon Alley Reporter and Tony Bacigalupo of New Work City. Also, Saul and Sunir from Freshbooks came all the way from Toronto to eat cupcakes.
Also, there were bloggers and online media people came to enjoy cupcakes. Alexis Tirado from Martha Stewart, Andrew Adam Newman from The New York Times, David Kaplan of Paid Content and Caroline McCarthy of cNet's The Social were among the many who socialized on the rooftop bar of The Delancey. Last but not least, we held a raffle and the prizes include cupcake pins, cupcake key covers, Cup-a-Cake containers and the grand prize was a gift package that included a Sprinkles Red Velvet cake mix with measuring spoons and a Cup-a-Cake container.
The party was a blast and we will definitely do it again next year! Thanks again to our sponsors, Bakespace, Bricabox, Food Candy, 485i and Sk-rt.

Seems like all of you had fun based on the stories when she got home... well, except for that person who insinuated that she was cheating when she thought she won the raffle :)
It was worth the trip
