Kate Shirazi's Cupcake Magic

Around here, we've been drooilng over Kate Shirazi's adorable new book Cupcake Magic: Little Cakes With Attitude. And we're not the only ones! The Manchester Evening News loves the book and offers recipes from the book for her extremely low-faff cupcake squares and mocha cupcakes, both pictured here. They also write that tea is the traditional drink to pair with cupcakes. Not milk?

Look for an interview with Kate on Cupcakes Take the Cake soon!

A CHILDREN'S tea party could be the perfect excuse for grown-ups to reach for the baking tray and treat themselves to the `cream of the cupcake'.

With naughty names like Bite My Cherry, Chocolate Maltesers and Lemony Lustres, tucking into a delicious cupcake could be as tempting as a trip to the sweet shop.

Kate Shirazi, founder of Cakeadoodledo mail-order cupcake business, has cooked up some wacky ideas from her farmhouse kitchen in Devon.

Her colourful recipes come in three varieties: low-faff, middling-faff and high faff.
