Our Denver, Colorado cupcake correspondent Alissa Bader is back with another guest cupcake review.

This time she visited The Shoppe in Denver and had this to say:
The Shoppe is such a cute little...well, shop. The space is a collaboration between The Fabric Lab (a DiY designer's boutique), and Emma Rose Cakes.
This is a terrific place to hang out. There are fun, pop-arty paintings by local artists on the walls. There's a small book section, specializing in art and design titles. And the TV in the corner is usually showing some great Saturday morning cartoon.

There's a lot of variety in the cupcakes here. They come in 3 different sizes – mini, regular, and giant (a special order, serving up to ten people). There are also at least twenty flavors there on any given day. Red velvet, mojito, cheesecake, chocolate raspberry, and chocolate peanut butter are among the specialties here. The standard chocolate and vanilla are also represented.
My favorite here is the chocolate vegan cupcake. It's deliciously chocolately, it's got a wonderful light texture, and it doesn't taste like you're eating a piece of tofu gone wrong. The icing is also fluffy and not too rich. Most of the Shoppe's cupcakes have a cream cheese icing, which appeals to many, but to me just seems to be a little too much of a (tasty) good thing.
