A review of Molly's Cupcakes

Chocolate on Chocolate

I chose this cupcake not only because it was full-on chocolate, but it was decorated with the cutest letters and numbers sprinkles. I guess those things just get to me. I had read other reviews about how the cakes at Molly’s tend to be dry, but that was so not the case here! This was moist, rich, and chocolate-y. So moist in fact, it almost fell apart when I took the liner away (which could be good or bad). The frosting was really good, too, but nothing out of this world. Overall, I really loved the chocolate on chocolate cupcake (and the sprinkles).

Vanilla on Vanilla

I must confess, the main reason I chose this one was because of the hot pink frosting. It looked so fun, plus hot pink is my favorite color next to black. The vanilla cake, just like the chocolate, was very moist and buttery. However, it tasted almost like it came from a mix. It was very tasty though. The frosting started to dry out by the time I got it home, but it was still very good. Overall, delicious, but not as good as the chocolate cupcake.
