"Foodies buying tickets to see baker Duff Goldman at Celebrity Food Show," The Press-Enterprise
Call it the Duff factor.
Foodies are flocking to this weekend's Celebrity Food Show in Anaheim to get a chance to meet the "Ace of Cakes" ring leader Duff Goldman and his crew, Mary Alice Fallon Yeskey and Geof Manthorne.
"We are inundated with calls for Duff," said Mary Carter, the show's producer. "I have people buying tickets for their 5- and 6-year-old children, which I think is amazing."
After all, where else can you catch flying cupcakes propelled into a crowd by the Baltimore baker and his friends?
"They're going to be hitting cupcakes into the audience with hockey sticks," Carter said.
The Food Network celebrity and his crew will join other big-name chefs such as David Rosengarten in attending the food show, which is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. today at The Hilton Anaheim.
