Free cupcake for Olympic atheletes and scrunchie wearers

photo by Flickr user rickie22 (I love that their business card says "office of celebration")

Portland's Saint Cupcake is all about the Olympics...and scrunchies. So if you're an Olympic athlete (and no offense to us, but probably kinda doubtful you're reading this blog, at least, uh, right now) OR you can rock a scrunchie like one, a free cupcake awaits you!

so, in honor of team usa and all it’s scrunchies, if you are an olympic athlete (any event!) and can prove it OR you come in with fantastic olympic gymnast hair (you know, tight pony/bun, many clippies, and maybe even sparkles!) we’ll give you a free full size cupcake. if you are an actual olympic athlete, we’ll give you one week from closing ceremonies to get to portland to get your cupcake. offer good thru 8/31.

This photo by Flickr user Intrepidation only shows the top of a Saint Cupcake turtle cupcake, but that's all you really need to see of this one, isn't it? It makes me want to hope on a plane to Portland!

Yay cupcakes! I feel like I've visited your blog in the past and this was an awesomely random reconvening in internetland. I am in the process of moving from Portland to Atlanta and am definitely going to miss Saint Cupcake. We'll see if I can find something to replace it in Atlanta.

No Olympian here, but I do wear a scrunchy from time to time. I know I know, not enough to get me a CUPCAKE.

That's an awesome offer.

I also wanted to let you know that I added this blog to the Blog Networks app on Facebook, for those of us who might be interested in listing it as one of our favorite blogs to read, and to make it so people on facebook who search for cupcake blogs can find it.

I personally don't care for Saint Cupcake. We drove down for my birthday weekend from Seattle and that was our first stop. My husband and I both felt they weren't worth the money, we actually didn't finish them and ended up tossing lots of 1/2's we had tasted.

I've put some Portland friends on assignment, but they must take a photo for documentation. I totally want to see her husband sporting the scrunchie!

@caldwell—How can you not care for Saint Cupcake? I would understand if you actually provided some honest criticisms of the flavors or textures, but seriously, they make a damn fine cupcake and offer many different frosting/cake combinations. And I'd say price alone is not a valid method of evaluating a cupcake joint. I'd go as far as to say if you didn't care for Saint Cupcake's offerings, you may just not care for cupcakes.
