You may have noticed that on the right we keep a 30-day rolling calendar (if you want your cupcake events listed - we also will include international ones - email us at cupcakestakethecake at yahoo.com). If you live in New York and are not a member of our NYC Cupcakes Take the Cake Meetup Group, please join now.
We're very excited about November's event, which will take place on Wednesday, November 19th at 6 p.m. at Sweet Revenge. It's a la carte, meaning you buy your own cupcakes, though usually we share, and these are plenty big enough to do so. Sweet Revenge is at 62 Carmine Street, easy to get to from the A/C/E/B/D/F/Q at West 4th Street.
I stopped in there late Saturday afternoon, and, as always, found it a very pleasant experience. Owner Marlo Scott was there, as were several couples on dates. There were many regulars, and it was a casual, mellow environment. I tried their namesake Sweet Revenge cupcake, which features ultra-rich peanut butter frosting with chocolate inside. And yes, it was as good as it looked (and no, I couldn't finish it by myself!):
