Batch rocks part 4 - drunken peppered pear cupcakes

I am saving this for tomorrow - the pears are soaked in amaretto!

Also, the customers are very cool. Tonight and the last time I was
here I wound up chatting with really interesting people. I like that
Pichet wants his customers to know and care about what's in each
cupcake and also to expand their palates and try something new. This
is a very adult bakery, from the setting to the food. These are not
cupcakes to shove in your mouth or eat on the go. They are best slowly
savored.

This is my must visit bakery for out of towners, such as Aaron Landry
and Jenny Block, friends from Monneapolis and Texas who I took here
this year.
