Lots of bakeries did special Elvis cupcakes last week for the King's birthday (sorry we weren't on top of covering all of them, though I will report soon on my Graceland cupcake from The Cupcakery in St. Louis), and one of them was Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank, California. Blogger make. see. eat. do. was there to capture not only the Elvis but also a host of other cupcakes from Yummy Cupcakes, and of the Elvis, wrote:
A sugar coma-inducing blend of peanut butter cake and chocolate/banana buttercream frosting, this cupcake was so sweet, and so totally Elvis that we were both kind of blown away. It was so rich, in fact, that we actually had to cut the sweetness with vanilla ice cream, something I’m sure Mr. Presley would have heartily approved of.
