Personally, I am still agog at Nora's awesome cupcake kebabs, but now I have something else to be excited about - these mini cupcake cocktail skewers she made (via Flickr. Here's her description:
Keylime Mini w/ Strawberry Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Mini w/ Lime Buttercream Frosting on a long cocktail skewer with garnish help from a Lime & Strawberry Mike & Ike and a candy Lime Wedge
Colorful, fun, enticing, with candy and summer fruity flavors - what more could you ask for?
Here's what Nora emailed:
I've been thinking about cupcake kebabs on a smaller scale and I decided to experiment some more by using some longer cocktail skewers I had in my cupboard.
The result was what I'm dubbing a Strawberry Limeade Mini Cupcake Cocktail. (Or Mocktail, as there is no alcohol in this particular combo.) A little less labor intensive than the kabobs and a little more justification in keeping the whole thing to eat for yourself!
I know when I ate my cupcake kebab, I pulled apart the individual pieces (and as I said, I didn't eat the whole thing). These are small enough that you could eat one yourself, and either pull them off with your fingers or maybe try to grab some candy and cupcake in one mouthful, directly.
