I have a ridiculously packed weekend cupcake schedule in Chicago that I am trying to prepare my body for; at least 7 cupcake places, aiming for possibly 10, in 2 days, so, um, that's a little stressful trying to organize and mentally prepare for.
I will be going to More Cupcakes on Saturday to taste test and interview, but you should go on Sunday for the free cupcakes! (Sadly, no email address is listed on their site but it's great they're active in the social networking world; still, I think any business, nevermind bakery, should have an email address publicly posted so people can reach them. Sorry, an aside, I just use the internet for almost everything and I find I frustrating as a consumer, not to mention blogger, when I can't get the information I want quickly and easily. I post those things here not just to vent, but to share for other bakeries. Still working on those Flickr tips, maybe while I'm away this weekend I can finish them up!)

One such couture shop, More, has been around for a year now, proving these new legs the cupcake has sprouted can actually hold weight. The store specializes in cupcakes like the Bloody Mary (tomato cake, vodka buttercream, chopped celery garnish) and the potato sour cream (potato cake, bacon bits, chives, sour cream frosting), but also sells straight-up cupcakes. To celebrate its anniversary, the store's dishing out its signature cake—chocolate cake, cream filling, and a chocolate glaze—for free this Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
