The December mini cupcake flavor of the month from New York City's Baked by Melissa is called Sooo Baked. I tried one at their store on 14th Street and it was delicious - not Coffee Caramel delicious (last month's flavor of the month), but very, very good, and has some interesting textures. The cookie dough in the middle is great, and the brownie is rich and chewy. They're $1 each (cheaper the more you buy, so I got 6 for $5.50).
The frosting on the actual cupcakes looked much more chocolatey than "swirl," but tasted good, a little less sweet than some of theirs, which is good because there's so much else going on.

And they just announced that they're now open in a third NYC location, in addition to SoHo and 14th Street off Union Square, right near Grand Central Station at 109 East 42nd Street. They also ship their cupcakes nationwide; see www.bakedbymelissa.com for details.
