Cadbury creme egg cupcakes - yes, please!

These Cadbury creme egg cupcakes are by Life is Sweet in Northern Ireland, and are "Intensely chocolatey Devil's Food cake with lightly flavoured vanilla Cadbury's Creme Egg buttercream, topped with cracked chocolate shell." Via Flickr. I love Cadbury creme eggs...in small doses, but still, this sounds like a real treat for people who can handle it. I love that they turned this gooey, ultra-rich, super-sweet dessert into a cupcake. Obviously I cannot transport myself to Belfast but if I could...

Wow this looks intense! But I would try them at least once. Cadbury Creme Eggs are one of my favorite thing about Easter.

I want to know the recipe for the frosting? Do you think they actually made it from the filling of the Cadbury Creme Eggs? That would be some serious sugar overload - but worth every calorie!!

Shanna, the frosting really is made with the centres of Cadbury Creme Eggs. Unfortunately, I can't share the recipe at the moment, as they are part of our current seasonal menu.

Btw, lots of yummy looking stuff on your blog!

Cadbury Creme egg's are one of my favourite chocolates! When I was little I loved to eat them in two stages, inside first then the shell. Now it is a cupcake! I think I need to jump on a plane to Belfast!

I went ahead and made these myself. I added a Chocolate Egg Shell Ganache to the center of them though.
