One of the cupcake places I'm most excited to check out while I'm in Austin, Texas this weekend is also a bakery with a very memorable name, Lick It Bite It Or Both, which combines two things I love: cupcakes and ice cream! I wasn't in town for our Cupcake Social 2.0, where the last photo below is from, so didn't get to sample their wares. I think the only question is how many times I will have to visit. I have had ice cream and a cupcake together before and the texture combination can be quite delicious. All photos below are from their Facebook page. I like the sound of the turtle cupcake (Moist chocolate cake topped with rich chocolate ganache and pecans drizzled with caramel) and the peanut butter cupcake (Moist chocolate cake with smooth and creamy peanut butter cream cheese frosting). And the lemon cream (Lovely lemon cake topped with smooth & creamy cream cheese frosting) and coconut (Rich coconut cake topped with smooth & creamy cream cheese frosting,
and rolled in sweet coconut flakes).
