Gooey chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, over-the-top s'mores cupcakes and more at Sweet E's Cupcakes

I was Martha's Vineyard this weekend for a family event, and have been very eager to revisit Sweet E's Cupcakes, who now have shops in Vineyard Haven and Edgartown. You can follow them @SweetEonMV on Twitter and on Facebook, where they post the day's cupcakes. I hadn't checked what they had and I walked in to find one of my favorite flavors: s'mores! Plus some extremely decadent chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, using Calleabut chocolate. You can see my full Flickr set here.

They're $3.50 each, but when I went up there with 5 I was told they're 6 for $18, so I did that!

s'mores cupcake

My favorite was definitely the chocolate peanut butter cupcake - the chocolate cake was rich and moist, the combination of chocolate and peanut butter frosting was extremely smooth and salty/sweet. The marshmallow buttercream on on the s'mores cupcake was good but extremely sweet. The salted caramel I liked too but could've been a little saltier.

I went back the next day to try a few other flavors, including their key lime coconut cupcake and the black velvet (described as "like red velvet, without the red"), though the chocolate peanut butter remains my favorite. All their chocolate cakes were outstanding, very rich, moist and you could taste the chocolate.
