Yesterday, I met up with my friend Kristin at Spot Dessert Bar on St. Mark's Place. If you're looking for a place in the East Village to meet with a friend and have cupcakes and bubble tea, then Spot is the spot. We had some yummy cupcakes and they serve watermelon bubble tea. One of the ones with chocolate frosting is the Mocha Maldon Salted Caramel. The pink cupcake pictured above is Berry Berry Chocolate and it has raspberry powder on top. The white cupcake is a Vanilla Lemon Yuzu cupcake. My favorite was the Vanilla Caramel Vietnamese Coffee Cupcake. Also, there are some savory brunch sandwiches on the menu in case you want something a little heartier.
Notes: Cupcakes are $2.75 each. There is free wi-fi. Spot is on the north side of the street but it is below street level so look for it when you are near the middle of the block.
