G Desserts sells cupcakes in a jar in the UK

Via Daily Candy comes word about G Desserts, which sells cupcakes in a jar in the UK. Flavors include red velvet, lemon passion. chocolate nutter, carrot passion, Victorian sponge, simply vanilla.

All our cupcakes come in jars which are 62.5mm (2.5") in diameter, 72.7mm (2.9") in height and 167ml in volume. You get a bit more cupcake in a jar than a regular cupcake and twice the creamy icing. Our cupcakes are also available in taster size jars (mini cupcakes), which have half the content of the regular jars. The taster jars are 59.5mm (2.3") in diameter and 58.4mm (2.2") in height.

Unlike regular cupcakes, the jars seal in moisture, therefore preventing the cupcakes from drying out. The cupcakes are best served at room temperature. They can be kept at room temperature for 8 - 10 days or in the fridge for up to 12 days. They can also be frozen for up to 6 weeks – slowly bring them to room temperature before eating.

You can even get the label personalized. From Daily Candy's 10 reasons to love these cupcakes in a jar:

4. You can use a spoon, which is much easier than trying to take a bite or stuff the whole thing in your mouth at once.

5. They can be stashed in the fridge up to twelve days or frozen for six weeks.

6. Remember fairy cakes? A Cupcake in a Jar tastes more like that than its sugary, oversize American cousin.

7. Look out for Christmas flavours, including fruit cake and strawberry and champagne — coming soon.
