A new sweet shop is moving into the old Firefly space on 7th Avenue. It's called the King of Cupcakes, and according to their website, they'll be serving cupcakes, cookies, custom cakes, pies, pastries, bagels, gelato, "and the best damn coffee in Brooklyn."

I don't know if they are related or not, but this Facebook page is for The King of Cupcakes bakery at 299 7th Avenue at 27th Street in Manhattan, and they recently did Jersey Couture custom cupcakes; see some of their photos in this album.

Cupcake decorator needed for new retail cupcake shop in Park Slope. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of working with buttercream to decorate cupcakes and also fondant/gumpaste to make custom cupcake toppers. Looking for someone who is outgoing, friendly and bubbly since counter help and talking to customers will also be required. This is a great opportunity to grow with our company from the ground up as we are going to open other locations in the next year.
