Chanelle's Heavenly Treasures

Meet Chanelle, of Chanelle's Heavenly Treasures in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Texas. Chanelle is new to the area, originally from Westchester, NY. She moved south to attend the Dallas Culinary Arts School and bakes cupcakes as well as other, um, heavenly treats. CTTC was lucky enough to have Michael in the Dallas area to photograph and taste Chanelle's mini cupcakes.





Bellini Cocktail Mini:

Both cake and frosting infused with Bellini cocktail (prosecco wine and peach puree) and garnished with a piece of peach.

Chocolate Espresso Coconut:

Bisected.

Chocolate espresso coconut-filled cake, chocolate ganache frosting, with toasted coconut garnish. Of this cupcake, our taster Michael sez, "Very moist chocolate cake with just a hint of espresso, and a creamy coconut-flavored filling with nicely toasted coconut garnish adding a bit of crispness to all the moisture; a chocolate melt away experience."

Creme Brulee:

Creme brulee-flavored cake with a creme brulee-flavored meringue frosting and a sprinkle of granular brown sugar garnish. Michael commented, "Both the cake and frosting nicely flavored...the cake is airy but moist, and the frosting is an especially smooth meringue. The slight crunch of the brown sugar topping adds both a taste and texture difference to it."

French Vanilla Mini:

Bisected.

French vanilla cake and frosting with a raspberry garnish. Michael sez, "The cake texture was airy...but not dry. The frosting was very smooth, and the french vanilla flavor was subtle, but definitely there and seemed to build as the taste lingered."

Moscato Cocktail Mini:

Both cake and frosting infused with Moscato (muscat) wine.

Patron Cocktail Mini:

Both cake and frosting infused with Patron tequila and garnished with a piece of lime. Michael sez, "Very good texture and moistness with distinctive, easily recognized flavors, and the small piece of lime was a nice touch, both visually and as a *finish* for the cupcake. This one was my favorite."

Strawberry Cake with Chocolate Ganache:
