Sorry about yesterday's Flickr posting onslaught - yes, I'm perhaps technically challenged in that I email photos individually to Flickr from my iPhone. I took several hundred yesterday and when we got back in cell phone service range I didn't realize I was posting directly to the blog. So my apologies, and it won't happen again. I'll be highlighting some of the cupcakes I especially enjoyed eating/looking at at Gardiner Cupcake Festival. There are over 200 of my photos (the repeats I will delete extras) in this Flickr set.
I was very impressed with the whole event and the cupcake spirit of Gardiner (by the way, "cupcake spirit" was one of the things we had to judge on). I was particularly impressed with the display and flavor names by Bridge Creek Catering. Who wouldn't want to try flavors like Devotion, Nirvana, Namaste, Meditation, Enlightenment and Om? We got to try the Om chocolate mint cupcake and it was fabulous! The mint wasn't overpowering and went perfectly with the chocolate, akin to a frosting version of a peppermint patty. Unfortunately I don't have a closeup photo of that one, but I promise you it was delicious - they're the ones at the bottom of the cupcake tower seen below. You can also find them on Facebook.
