Sometimes I need a reminder that cupcakes aren't just something fun to eat but that they are works of art too. These black and white cupcakes by Hilary Rose Cupcakes in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, UK (via Flickr) did it for me! The tic tac toe board in the upper left hand corner of this top one is one of my favorites, but I also love the ties, and how the dragees (the silver balls) add an extra flourish.
