Both of these cupcakes are by Vancouver's C&C Cakery, and are incredibly creative. The first was for Canada Day, via Twitpic, and the other, which is a little older but still fascinating, features halwa cupcakes with kulfi and cashew-lime cookie toppers (now there's a mouthful!), which you can get the recipe for on their blog.
