Cupcakes on Kickstarter: Stillwater, Minnesota's Sweet Ducky Cupcakery launches campaign

I think using Kickstarter to fund cupcake bakeries and food businesses is a trend we're going to be seeing more of. This particular campaign has a sad genesis: Sweet Ducky Cupcakery is named after Andrea Zimmerman, who died at age 20 in a car accident, and was known as "Ducky."

From this article in the Star Tribune:

With the motto of a "Delight in Every Bite," Hanks said the Cupcakery will feature flavors such as the Nettie Peanut Butter, Caramel Kate and the Lemon Lindsay, all named after Andrea's closest friends.

The rotating menu also will feature the Chocolate Chocolate -- Andrea's favorite -- and a host of flavors from Nancy's vast recipe box, as well as ideas they find at online cooking sites.

"The possibilities are endless," Hanks said. "You can have any flavor in a cupcake."

Watch their Kickstarter video below, and if you want to contribute to their campaign, you have until January 31st. Their goal is to raise $15,000. You can also follow them on Facebook.
