For those who want the scoop on how a cupcake business gets started, here's theirs, from their website:

Pick Your Poison Bake Shop was established in March, 2011. It began as a night out in Downtown Las Vegas having a couple shots of Jameson and Jack Daniels, conversing in a drunken banter of how cupcakes needed a face lift and we were the people to do it! We threw out ideas so fast our heads were spinning.... or maybe that was just the alcohol! The next morning we woke up and began our journey. Our first baking experience was a DISASTER! It was like a bomb went off in the kitchen, and everything tasted awful. We didn't let it bring us down though and we tried again. We held tastings with family and friends and built up honest feedback that led us to the most amazing concoctions ever!

The name Pick Your Poison was actually discovered by Taryn's mother, while searching through a thesaurus (yes, those still exist). It was perfect for us because of our love of experimenting with alcohol, and drinking it! It all made sense! Pick Your Poison Bake Shop is like no other. We pride ourselves on creating cupcakes people have never tasted before, which is why we don't do any plain vanilla, chocolate or red velvet. Everyone already knows what those taste like, so why clutter our menu with boring flavors?
