Cupcakes in Vancouver

The Canadians like their cupcakes! That's good to know if I ever visit up north.
If you plan to travel to Vancouver, British Columbia, you may want to visit Cupcakes. Co-owners Lori Kliman and and Heather White have a beautiful website and I can't wait to visit Vancouver.

I saw this store featured on a cable channel. So when I was in Vancouver I stopped by and had one or two cupcakes...The best!

I was in Vancouver a couple of weeks agao and I had to have a cupcake. I go to Vancouver a couple of times a year. This year the cupcakes were notably smaller. The top of the cupcake was smaller and hence there was less icing. The price had also increased. More money, less cupcake! How come?

I am a transplant from LA (been here 18 months), and I have to say, I can't really agree with the comments here. I've been to two different locations (downtown and North Van), and both times the cupcakes were dry and tough and the icing was mealy. Not good at all, especially for the price. Sprinkles has nothing to fear here.

Does anyone have any other suggestions in the area?

The cupcakes were okay. The frosting was pretty good but the cake good be better. They also didn't have any neat varieties like some other cupcake places.

I live in Vancouver and I'm always in search of a good cupcake. Unfortunately, there are none to be found at Cupcakes. The icing is terrible and the cupcake is mediocre at best. Very disappointing.

Although the cupcakes here are expensive, they are much tastier than Buttercup or Magnolia Bakery and nobody (not even sugar Sweet sunshine or sprinkles) makes that mouthwatering chocolate mint combination!! These are especially great freshly made in the AM.
