It's Bake for Family Fun Month
This was too cute not to post. I can just see the three of us with our little kiddies teaching them how to bake and getting all giddy over cookies and cupcakes right out of the oven.

I can't imagine any parent NOT baking stuff with their kids!
Funny how you think you're the only one out there w/ these passionate thougths of cupcakes! I'm new to the blog myself and think it's so cool that we can share our love for them this way. I just moved to LA not yet a year ago (from NYC) and I've def. observed the very same thing. Huge in NY, not so much out here yet. So I'm doing the same thing you are...perfecting my recipes so I could get out there and strike while the iron is hot. I've got my vanilla/vanilla down pat, but still working out the chocolate stuff. Chocolate is much harder to work with. I've got 2 places that offered to sell them for me and see how it goes, but I"ve been a chicken about it I guess. When I finally do it, I want them to be super delicious that people keep asking for more!
Hmm, hey maybe we can one day combine our love and passion for the perfect little treat and get soemthing started!? Two cupcake minded people may be better than one! :)
I tried JOan's on Third btw, and they were good, not great. My cupcake taster friend ddin't love them at all. But then again, she eats bowls of just my buttercram icing alone! Haven't found any others out here so far...but I wonder if part of the reason is b/c everyone is so carb/fat obsessed here? But everyone needs a cupcake once in a while--well, I'd like one every day personally but that can't happen!
