I have a huge CAKE FETISH!

I have officially fallen for a bakery I've never stepped foot in based on the name: CAKE FETISH. How freaking cool is that? It recently opened in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and their website is forthcoming (and hopefully we can snag an interview with the owner).

For now, check out these other writeups of Cake Fetish (and post/send us your own opinions, photos, etc. about Cake Fetish or any cupcakerie near you to cupcakestakethecake at yahoo.com). Image of Danger Dame Veronica Varlow, with permission.

Cake Fetish (Louisiana + Menaul) boasts of something like 27 flavors (Sounds like a serious fetish). Including such temptations as...

  • Sleepless in Albuquerque (Rich chocolate cake crowned with mocha french buttercream and a chocolate espresso bean)
  • Joy Ride (chocolate cake with mounds of coconut cream icing funished with toasted coconut and a chocolate almond)
  • Drama Queen (chocolate cake dressed in pink vanilla french buttercream and glittering jewels)
  • Mojito (vanilla cake with a hint of rum topped with a minty lime buttercream icing and a sprig of fresh mint)

I ordered two cakes, (peanut butter and jelly and velvet elvis) and a dozen cups (MARGARITA FLAVORED!!!! How fucking cool is that?!?!) for my girlfriends birthday bbq and everyone loved them!
I take them to work all the time and everyone LOVES them!
go! go! Buy up some cupcakes.
The owner of the store is really cool and so are all of the employees.

I stopped by a few weeks ago and had the Grasshopper and it was yummy! Business must be good cause I stopped by and there were only half of the varieties promised. But, I highly recommend the grasshopper and the Peanut Butter Cup. *mmm*

this biz has been resold and the results are terrible.I got a dozen for my sons 13th bday after reading great reviews. i ordered them special, so they were supposedly fresh and they were bland, flavorless, and DRY! I HATED THEM! ALL 12 of them were bad. You know if three days after the birthday, there are still 9 in my fridge, even my kids hated them! And kids will eat just about any cupcake!I want my money back!i just went on 3/11/08.
