Cupcake Fun!

The Burlington Times offers recipes for Lavendar Pineapple Cupcakes and Honey Roasted Pineapple Cupcakes and offers a link to a site that's new to me (though shouldn't be): run by Wilton! The recipe section is broken down into batters, icings, and fillings.

Not much new information or observations for readers of this blog in the article, but happy to see the cupcake gospel spreading:

“Today’s cupcakes are more decadent than you had in the past. There are a lot more choices than a standard cupcake,” Siler said. “We’re seeing a great deal of sophistication with them, it’s not just (regular) icing with some sprinkles on top.”

Wedding cake designers have begun adding cupcakes to their portfolios, sometimes creating the tiny cakes to complement the standard matrimonial cake.
