I've had a request to make Burberry plaid cupcakes for a birthday party and I'm open to suggestions on how to do so if anyone has any ideas...

Depending on flavor requests, you could do a coffee flavored frosting or even a chocolate done with white chocolate flavoring with just a bit of dark chocolate to bring in the tan color. Then, do the plaid in fondant - it would be easier to do the "over unders" using a stiffer material than regular old frosting. You'll have to post photos when you do it!

Is there a cake decorating shop that has an edible image machine in your area? There's one here and they will copy anything you want onto the edible paper. You can then take the edible Burberry, cut it in circles and place it on top of the frosting. I would then roll the edges of the frosting (the area between the image and the wrapper) in solid color sprinkles in one of the Burberry colors.
I LOVE the cupcake blog!!!

I make cupcake purses for little girls, and cupcake hats and scarves!!
