Los Angeles bakery Cake and Art (see our interview here) made a cake and these blue cupcakes to celebrate talk show host Ellen DeGeneres's 50th birthday! If you're in the LA area, join the Los Angeles Cupcake Meetup Group this Sunday, February 10th, at 1 p.m., for their monthly meetup, which happens to be taking place at Cake and Art!
Apparently, Ellen is big into cupcakes, because lots of bakeries tout having been on their show when I was searching for some information. Apparently, Ellen and AOL did a Best Cupcakes in America poll or list; I can't find it, so if someone has that link or more info, please send it in.
Here's the only video clip I could find, where she brings out a big display of red velvet cupcakes from Auntie Em's Kitchen and lets the audience come up and get one!
