Chai latte tea cupcakes and white chocolate buttercream frosting

Wow, what a combination, and blogger Say-very Sweet Things has the recipe for these cupcakes and some commentary:

To make cupcakes, use any boxed French vanilla cake mix or your own from scratch. Follow instructions on back of box, but increase water to 1 ½ cup and add 3 heaping tablespoons of instant Chai Latte Tea. I used General Foods International Chai Tea Latte. Follow instructions on back of box for baking cupcakes.


Since Indian Chai tea is spicy, I was pleased that the spices weren’t over-whelming in the taste of these cupcakes. This General Foods International Chai Tea Latte has just the right hint of spices. I have tried some Chai Teas and the spices are overwhelming.
