Cupcakes at Annie Mae's Cheesecakes

Annie Mae's Cheesecakes in Harlem, New York (though that information could be a little more prominent on their site - bakeries, I beg of you, please plaster your address/location prominently on your site, on all pages!) also offers cupcakes. They do delivery, catering, corporate events, and also offer a wide range of favors. You can contact them for more information.

Update April 22nd - in light of your comments and Flickr discussion about Annie Mae's use of photos from other bakeries, I have taken down the photos. If anyone hears back from Annie Mae's about the use of these photos, please let us know.

Maybe "Cupcakes at Annie Mae's Cheesecakes" should stop stealing other cupcake businesses photos & using them as their own!!

Photographs are the property of their owners, so it's a copyright infringement to use someone else's photo without permission. Really dumb in this case, since the cupcakes would be really easy to re-create and photograph. It looks like commercially available gum paste roses and leaves and basic piping. How difficult the cupcake is or isn't to make isn't the point , though - copyright infringement is, and they've done the wrong thing.

Lol...yes they didn't pick some of my best...the piping is quite bad in these..(though the roses & leaves are actually handmade not bought). They would be really easy to recreate so I fail to see why these places just can't use their own photos.....if they aren't capable of making a product, then what's the point of using someone elses photo & pretending they can? (meaning I assume if they COULD make it they would have their own photo there instead...what do they actually give the customer?)

Did they actually make anything featured on their site, or is it all just photos stolen from others? Makes you wonder!

Looks like other cupcake photos are stock p[hotos & not thiers too.....a shame........

Sorry, Kylie, I didn't mean to criticize your cupcakes! Even if you don't consider them your best work, you do have a knack for photography which is probably why they stole your picture.

At any rate, you are right that if they can create the cupcake, they should and photograph that. If they can't make an equivilent of the cupcake, their customers who order what they see on their website will be very disappointed, and rightly so.

Can you imagine ordering what you see from the website for an event, then getting something completely different? Not cool!

LOL Eve123, ...I didn't take it that way (I just thought I'd mention they were hand made roses....), though the ones in my photo do have bad piping!

Still no word from them & my photos (& others) are still up! I wish they would do the decent thing & remove them.......

Update: Photos STILL there.......(After quite a few emails now)
For someone who advertises "we have the finest cupcake"s...& "we take the cupcake to a whole new level" I find it strange they have to steal other cupcake businesses photos & pretend they are theirs....if they do make the finest cupcakes where are THEIR photos? After seeing some of the fondant covered cake photos on their site I think I can guess why they don't post the REAL photos of their cupcakes!

So it seems they have a problem with removing my photo. They are saying it is FREE since it was found on google & that maybe I should spend my time checking out all the other sites that are using my photos rather than spending my time trying to get an apology.......
It's sad that some people have no morals or values.........seems there are alot of cupcake & cake people like this from what I have witnessed since going into the business.........especially on these cupcake groups & blogs......
