Win a box of Cakespy's CBGB cupcake cards!

Mini watercolor Tae Kwon Do with Cupcakes by Cakespy

We were so thrilled to get a whole package of cards from Jessie Oleson of Cakespy fame last week. She sent us so many that we're giving YOU the chance to win a box of her CBGB Cupcake cards. You have until April 30th to leave a comment WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS* telling us who you'd send a cupcake card to and why. (If we can't contact you, we can't send you the cards. *Alternately, you can link to a URL that has your email address clearly labeled.) One entry per person. Winner will be randomly chosen on May 1st. Happy card sending, and be sure to check out Cakespy all over the web: Cakespy.com, Cakespy on Flickr, and Cakespy's cards and artwork for sale on Etsy.

Here are two cute photos from Cakespy's Flickr account of the card in question, but this is for a box of I believe 8 (it's sealed so I didn't open it).

I am going to culinary school though, so it is worthwhile. I would send the card to remind her how much I love her ans what an amazing mom she is.

I would send a card to my sister.
She just drove the length of the US with her 10 year old son and dog to move to a new house that she's seeing for the first time today and buying tomorrow, and I think she can use all the support she can get!

I'm graduating with my Master's next month and I'll need to send thank you cards to people for the rad presents they hopefully will give me. Also, my BFF is getting married, and I will certainly need to give her a card. She'll be getting enough boring wedding cards from others, I need to up the ante!

I would send a card to by friend Saysha, who once did a cupcrawl with me and everytime we visit each other we share a cupcake or 2. It's become our special thing, even though we're far apart we can still eat a cupcake and think of the other person.

I think I'd send the card to my best friend who moved to Florida a few years ago. You know, to show I still think of her and tell her about my cake [and cupcake] business and all that junk that's going on.

I love CakeSpy's art--and this is one of my all-time faves of hers!!

I would lovingly cram a couple of cards into my aunt's mailbox. We're not related by blood, but we're close enough to have shared our miseries with each other. Less than a year ago, my 'aunt' was diagnosed with diabetes. Because of her diabetes, she's had to cut back on all the wonderful food-stuffs she used to indulge on. I want her to see that she can have fun with cupcakes without having to eat them.

I would send my card to my older sister in California. She's completely her Masters there while I am about to finish my BA in Michigan. Being away from her is hard since we grew up maintaining a close relationship. Both my sister and I absoultely love cupcakes! It would be a bit more meaningful...as well as an inside joke...to send her cupcake cards :)

I would send the card to my mom anonymously to see if she'd know it was from me. She used to call me Cupcake when I was little and she loves to bake.

Or, I would send it to the Cupcake Shoppe in Toronto, the first place I saw a boutique dedicated to my favorite food!

OK now I"m being darn right greedy, but that's what cupcakes do to me! I also want to send a card to Downtown Atlantic. I was visiting over the summer and in the midst of a brutally hot day, me and my two sons stumbled upon the restaurant. Man, that red velvet cupcake saved my life. I just want to say thanks.

I've been telling her all about cupcakes and their awesomeness and i would definitely have to send her a card to say how much i admire her patience and willingness to listen to me rambling on and on about cupcakes. A cakespy cupcake card would be perfect!

I'd send a card to my best friend Cathy. I love cupcakes, and every year for my birthday, she has made me a homespun batch. When we traveled to LA, we made a special trip to find a cupcake boutique, since we don't have any at home. She'd laugh so hard at getting a cupcake card from me!

I would send a cupcake care to my 'sista from another mother', my best friend since we were kids - it's almost her birthday (and her wedding anniversary on the same day!), and we live too far away from each other so I miss her lots. I want her to know I'm thinking of her. Plus the last day we spent together when I was visiting, we ate cupcakes and giggled like time had never passed... I love ya girl!

I would send a cupcake card to Hillary Clinton, because she could use a little LOVE out there on the campaign trail, and the martial arts lady on the design is one tough mamma, as she is. Then I would tell her it's a chain postcard and please send it along to future President Obama.

I would send a card to my sister (along with a batch of cupcakes I made). My fiance and I are in the process of moving from the east coast to Texas. A couple months ago we made chocolate cupcakes (some with a chocolate buttercream frosting, some with vanilla icing...I make the cupcakes, my fiance makes the icing) for a famly birthday party. My sister is an amazing cook, but does not bake. When she ate one of my cupcakes she said oh my gosh, these are so good, it takes like you bought them from a bakery. Then she joked with me and asked if it was really necessary that we move. My nephew turns one in December. If we can't be there for his birthday party, we're definitely going to send her a batch of our cupcakes!

I'd send a card to my sister. She's 5 LONG hours away in Virginia and I miss her terribly. We've been long life buddies, even went to the same college. We both LOVE cake - we can devour a whole cake ourselves in a day (who am I kidding...in an hour!)

It has been so long since I mailed a card, I'm not sure if I remember how... perhaps, it would be best to walk one over to my neighbour's house with a plate of welcome to the neighbourhood cupcakes (which actually would be welcoming me to the hood).

I'd send a card to my cousin, Stephanie. She's 16 and she's my best friend in the whole world. She lives 4.5 hours away from me, and I only get to see her 2 or 3 times a year. Last summer she stayed at my house for a month, and I really got her loving cupcakes as much as I do. She even started her own cupcake blog! She's so adorable. A cupcake card would totally make her day :)

I would send a card to my twin sister. We spent four years in college together hunting down the best cupcakes on the west coast, and attending shows together- frankly, the cupcakes on that card remind me of us! It would be even more meaningful because I moved to Australia with my new husband 4 months ago-it's the longest we've ever been apart, and so hard not to see my best friend. The 26th of April marks the first birthday we've ever celebrated without one another, and a card like that would crack her up for sure.

Well, it goes without question that I would send a card to my best friend in NYC. We moved there just after college in the early 90's (went to high school & college together!). We have been to CBGB together quite often (more than I wanted in fact). She is my funky friend who always knew the ins & outs of the music scene & I was the one who had no idea what she was talking about (imagine blond girl from Texas clutching purse amid a crowd of rockers). I lived there for 5 years, now in California. Krissy is still there, still cool.

Thank you for the opportunity to win something. LOVE your blog.

My daughter is going on a three-week trip to England in June. We are supposed to supply three letters/cards for the group leaders to hand out over the course of the trip. Lily is my creative assistant in the kitchen and would get a big kick out of receiving these cards!

I would send the CBGB cards to my husband for many reasons. I love him, he loves cupcakes (and me), & he just got rid of his favorite CBGB shirt. I would love CBGB memorobilla to replace this guy who continues to try (and win) at out-serving me, and being so much fun to share life with.

I would send a cupcake card to my favorite librarian at the local public library. Like a cupcake, she is small and very sweet. And due to personnel cutbacks, she probably has more work than ever, in addition to her usual responsibilities at home. So I think she could use and enjoy a sweet little note of appreciation.
