"Giant cupcakes sweeten up Waterford Lakes," Central Florida Future
A new addition to the Waterford Lakes Town Center will bring some L.A. flavor to Orlando.
Barry and Hollis "Miss Holly" Wilder are in the final stages of opening their new cupcake and tart frozen yogurt shop, Sweet! The shop will feature fresh "ginormous" gourmet cupcakes, frozen custard and the growing sweet sensation, soft serve tart frozen yogurt. They will open in the morning with breakfast cupcakes, which some might argue look an awful lot like muffins, and a granola topping for the tart yogurt.
Sweet! doesn't have an official opening date yet, but they hope to open their doors to the public by the end of June. Director of marketing Max Friedman said they will have their soft opening first, and then grand opening ceremonies will take place in the fall once school has started up again. The store will start its monthly 1,000 cupcake give-always at this time, awarding the freshly made cupcakes to the organization whose event is chosen
Earlier this month, they were looking for pastry cooks on Craigslist.
And they've got a website, of course. (And again, as with Vanilla's, there is some placeholder copy, but once you're in the newspaper, people are gonna start looking you up, so I'm linking to them since they're about to open, supposedly this month or very soon thereafter.)
If you sign up for their newsletter, you get a free cupcake or medium frozen yogurt.
They've got a lot of flavors, including Dulce de Leche, White Raspberry, Coffee, Black & Tan, Tiramisu, Banana, Peanut Butter, and more.
