The latest in confection ideas is the cupcakery -- a store specializing in selling the three-bite treat.
Holly Slayton has brought the trend that's spreading across the nation to Hilton Head Island, starting Sweet Carolina Cupcakes last month. She has no store yet, but bakes the cakes to special order every day and also sells them at Shelter Cove's HarbourFest Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Slayton philosophizes on what makes a cupcake a cupcake.
