We've posted photos from Cupcakery Cupcakes before, but here's a special spotlight, cause they're magnificent-looking, all via their Flickr stream. Also check out their blog. All of these make me want to plan a trip to Australia to try them! What I really like is that they add their own spin to traditional cupcakes (like the pecans on top of the carrot cupcake) and have created totally original cupcakes. This makes them stand out and shows that they truly care about the product they are making. Of course there is room for the standards, but I think every cupcakery should have at least one cupcake that is all their own.
Honeycomb Heaven cupcake:
Vanilla cupcake topped with caramel icing and chunks of honeycomb. In this shot, I have used Violet Crumble but it is even better if you have time to make your own honeycomb. The caramel icing (the same used on the caramel cakes) is made by adding freshly-made caramel sauce to icing sugar until you get the desired consistency.
Orange buttercakes:
Orange buttercakes (with plenty of freshly squeezed OJ & zest) topped with orange buttercream and a variety of decorations
Cloudlands cupcake:
This is a pure meringue topped with lightly beaten pure cream & fresh seasonal fruit (kiwi, strawberries & passionfruit). Almost all fruit works well, with bananas another favourite. These are essentially mini pavlovas and are very delicious.
Cherry ripe cupcake:
Our Cherry Ripe cupcake really tastes like a cake version of the chocolate (only better of course!). Coconut buttercake is filled with a mix of morello and glace cherries, kirsch and a little cream and then topped with a really rich 70% Lindt buttercream and a maraschino cherry.

Carrot cupcake:
Spicy carrot cake topped with cream cheese icing & slivers of toasted pecans
