September 24th is Cupcake Day in Pittsburgh

Cupcake Week Sept 21st - 27th

Just a little reminder about cupcake week!

We are still looking for contestants for the cupcake eating contest on Friday the 26th at 7pm in Lawrenceville. The winner will receive a trophy and a bunch of prizes from local businesses. We anticipate a lot of people coming out for this one. If weather permits, it will be outdoors. I'm thinking at least one of the local news stations will pick up on this one! We are hoping to have 10 or more contestants and see who can put down the most cupcakes in 3 minutes! I expect crowds the size of the Hot Dog eating contest on Coney Island! (well, we'll try anyway...)

Also looking for cupcake inspired art to hang in both locations. If you are an artist of any level, you need to get involved. The winner will have their piece displayed in the window of the Squirrel Hill location. Contact James at 412-621-4740 today!

You won't want to miss $1 cupcake day, Wednesday the 24th, when the city of Pittsburgh Mayor's office will officially announce that day "Official Cupcake Day in Pittsburgh!"

Saturday night is Happy hour! All cocktail inspired cupcakes from 6pm to 10pm. We are likely to stay open late that night if the crowds are big! There may even be a sip of champaign for customers! Oh La La!

They also have a catering calendar you can consult to see when they're free - great idea!
