New bakery to open in Fresno, California

from The Fresno Bee:

Come Halloween, a new bakery that specializes in cupcakes should be open at the northeast corner of Cedar and Herndon avenues.

Called the Cupcakes Bakery (of course), the shop is taking over Java Jim's in the strip mall by Tahoe Joe's. It's still under construction but al- ready has some buzz...

Since then, she has tested out different flavors and plans to launch the bakery with 15 different types. They include red velvet, German chocolate, strawberry shortcake (a vanilla-flavored cake with pieces of fresh strawberries and cream-cheese frosting), coconut (a coconut milk- flavored cake topped with vanilla buttercream frosting and coconut flakes) and a straightforward vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting.

My daughter dances at the Academy next to you and jus has to get her special treat when she's finished. Your cupcakes are THE BEST. I hope you are around for a long, long time!

Seriously the best chocolate cupcakes I have ever had - they have an intense COCOA taste, not that fake chocolate taste you get when you make them from a box or buy them pre-made from the grocery store.

If I wasn't on a diet I'd be eating these daily :)
