Cupcakes Gourmet, both cupcakes *and* gourmet!

At a dinner party last night, Rachel showed up with two boxes of yummy cupcakes from (Philly-area) Frazer, PA, and online delivery site Cupcakes Gourmet. Its tagline is "dreamy, decadent and divine" and these mini cupcakes were all three. They looked quite elegant; a wonderful hostess gift to arrive with. Well done, Rachel!

I think this was the white-chocolate vanilla, from the "black tie" collection, and it was my favorite. It had a hard "casing" of white chocolate on top, vanilla frosting underneath, and moist delicious vanilla (real, excellent vanilla-tasting) cake under that.

Here's Rachel posing with the box of black tie mini cupcakes. The boxes arrived neatly packed in dry ice, with nice stiff separators between each of the cupcakes so they weren't banged-up from their overnight trip to NYC. The cupcakes run about $25 per dozen minis.

We also had red velvet and triple-chocolate. I believe the boxes ordered were the classic collection and the black tie. What made the black tie collection so different was the hard chocolate "toppers" with the frosting (or ganache) underneath. Really innovative, although they were not the easiest to eat. I am glad they were minis, or I would have made even more of a mess than I did. Many thanks to sweet Desiree for hosting ravenous cupcake-lovin' women.

Here's our friend (and a friend to cupcakes everywhere) Twanna, the Funky Brown Chick. I think she was about to enjoy a peanut butter-flavored mini. Mmm...

I would think these mini cuppers would be perfect for a wedding, or fancy event. Thanks for the deliciousness, Cupcakes Gourmet!
