Mini salted caramel cupcakes

from Flickr user LolaBix who writes:

i've been craving salted caramel lately and remembered a recipe for some chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel frosting and salted caramel candies for the tops.. they turned out to be tiny bite sized pieces of evil.. oh, the guilt!

Wonderful! I haven't ever seen so beautiful picture. Have you taken it yourself? (I don't know do I speak perfect english, but I can try.)

I like your blog very much and I have visited here couple of times before.

Happy autumn and the following winter.

How did you get your caramel to spill out the top like that? It looks delicious! Chockylit's picture seems to show a hard candy on top.
I was actually looking for a recipe that resulted in what you posted a little while ago, so I'm really curious as to how you did yours.

anonymous.. i made the candy on top using Chockylit's recipe and she does state that the candy will turn soft fast - what i didn't expect was just how soft (and runny!) the candy became (and this after it was in the freezer overnight!).. i'd love to get a recipe that actually kept the candy hard and i'm looking for that.. so if all you want is some runny caramel make the recipe exactly as posted on Chockylit's blog, which is all i did..
