Via Boing Boing, I discovered this tutorial on how to make melted snowman cupcakes (aka winter cranberry cupcakes) at a blog called Cherrapeño ("A cherrapeño is the result of a cross between a cherry pepper and a jalapeño chilli pepper.") There's a recipe for the cupcakes there and info on how to make the snowman decorations. Love it!
